So a couple of days ago I decided to test out some fake nails. I’ve never done this before, so I went to the best, hilltop nails in Greenwich, CT. I got the UV Gel Extension. The first day they felt tight. Sorta like someone had duck-taped each nail really tight. But that pain went away after the second or third day. I like that they are not outrageously long. They’re actually the same length my nails used to be before the five months straight of shellac killed them. The lady said they should last about 2-3 weeks and to come back to get them redone. Not sure if I am going to continue this process or not, but will definitely keep you posted. Below I have listed my pros and cons of the uv gel extensions.
They look bomb
They have a natural and glossy finish, yay
Considered the safer more eco-friendly option rather than acrylic nails
They sometimes hurt when I put pressure on them
Very dull, so if I have an itch or a scratch, forget about it. Find the nearest brush or comb to scratch it.
